Redbox Ripoff
Over the past year, Redbox has taken close to $150 total off of my debit card. I kept one movie and they charged $40 a month to my card for the next 3months.
So I blocked them off of my card. I got a new card and new account number months later. I'll be damned if they didn't start taking money off of my new card too. After i got my new card i rented a movie and returned in way before 9 the same day.
They took money off of my card for the movie i rented and when i got my statement the following month they had started charging my new card for the charges from my old card that they had already taken out several times. I called customer service about it and they tryed to tell me that they had no record of the charges. Just recently i rented 5 movies. Mind you movies cost $1.20 a day, they charged me 10.00 , 6.68, and then 19.98.
Worst part is, one disc didnt even work. They refused to refund me for that one and told me the extra charges were for movies i rented in october & dpecember last year. I didnt even rent the movies. I also get charged late charges when i return movies on time.
I am so done with redbox. I wish someone would investigate them and see how many people they are ripping off and stealing from.

I rented 2 movies and returned them a week later because of a work injury and they charged 62 dollars for it.
:upset I find it quite funny the "redboxcare" responds to all the comments here. But when you try to handle it by calling them, nothing gets done.
Emailing them is useless.
I know because I tried, I got charged $79.00 for movies I know I returned!! They ARE THIEVES!!
